Tough Wisconsin Hunting
« on: April 23, 2013, 06:26:13 AM »
Here in Wisconsin Snow is becoming a four letter word. The first week you could not get into a lot of areas because the snow was just to deep and walking lifting your legs in the snow was a real workout. The birds also fell through the snow every second step and you could tell they did not like moving around. I took this bird the first week and called in three birds to the gun so far. Third week starts tomorrow and my wife and I have tags. We still have snow on the fields, but it is better. The frost is lifting out of the fields and the soil is turning into a mess. The good news is the birds are gobbling like crazy now. Hunting will keep getting better as the weeks roll on.
