I had errands to run today but took the time to put my camera in the truck before I left. The post office is a half mile away which was my first stop and before I got there I saw a big tom in a field. I pulled over grabbed my binos to be sure and yep, a shooter. I took some video and then headed to town. As I was coming back I saw the owner out in a field so I waited a bit then went back over.
He told me to grab a seat, we swapped stories for awhile then.....I asked the question, if I could go after the tom. He said sure you know you can hunt anytime you want. He told me I can now drive where I couldn't before then told me where he had seen very big tom on his 200 acres. This spot is close enough I can hear the cows from my front porch. Let's call it a 2 minute drive.
