Nice carving. Rainbow's are not a native trout in Pennsylvania.  But in those few streams you mention there are some wild Rainbow Trout. Rainbows were brought in and stocked years ago from out west. In a few streams the Rainbows reproduced and no stocking was required. Those few steams have what is called wild trout. The only native trout is the the Brook Trout.

That's way cool ,Gregg!! Very realistic. Did you do it from a picture or from the real McCoy?  Looks great.

we took tons of pictures and I carved them from that.  we also caught several nice little native Brooks that day too.  most of this area is really shaded (Dark). tons of timber rattlesnake too.   most of those fish were really dark from lack of sunlight.   Really neat area, most people don't know about. *up*
