Preserving yelper calls

Anyone have any insight on preserving the rubber on yelper calls?  Also would be interested knowing if anyone uses anything on wood, ferrule, and etc? This has probably been covered before, but can't hurt to refresh.  Thanks.

Renaissance Wax on the call...mineral oil on the rubber lipstop.

can I use that wax on all wood finishes. thanks I am ordering some now.

If you read, somewhere, it says it's used in museums for quality artwork. I know people that use it on their guns and everything else.

Steve, you don't reckon the acidity of that will hurt them?

I use the ren. wax on everything.  Yes, musuems use it all the time, as well as mineral oils.  You can put the wax on anything.

For rubber lipstops I use Aerospace 303 protectant. It's like sunblock for rubber, plastic and the like. I have not notice any bitter taste or anything.  I use it on my kayaks and plastic components on my trucks.  I think mineral oil is used on ivory, but I could be mistaken.
