 one entry per team member, top 6 birds on the team get scored, that adds some competition between actual team members to out do their own team members as well, no body will want to be viewed the low scorer on their team. This will keep people from shooting jakes or bearded hens, just to enter a turkey.

If we have seven team members then we need seven scores. In my opinion, everyones bird deserves to be included. If someone doesnt kill a big tom , thats just part of the competition. I would never tell a team member that they cant include a jake bird. Ans every member deserves to be included if they signed up to be on a team . Someone will surely kill a jake or maybe a tom with a broken beard etc. , but its not right to drop their score out of the list.  If you want to do stuff like that then you should also drop the highest score on team . I can assure you that whomever has the high score will be just as disappointed to be knocked out of the team as the person who has low score will be. Whats fair is fair and that is to include all scores, even from those who might get skunked. My two cents, thanks.

The point id that every team member is included.  However like lonnielou stated the top 6 birds will be counted.  This way this allows leeway if one team member doesn't score this season.  It will make a fairer contest for all teams.  This really isn't a hard concept guys.

The fairest thing is to score seven birds, one bird for each member. By dropping one bird it gives the clear advantage to a team that has several members that hunt prime land where birds are not pressured. These guys can be selective on what they kill and wait on multiple bearded birds. Those teams did not win last year because they had a member not kill a bird. They were one bird less than some teams and still almost won. I personally think it equalizes the playing fiels by scoring 7.

Obviously there are differences of opinions.  Whatever the vote is will be what we will go by.  Good luck to all the teams regardless of what it is.

I'll gladly take a goose egg for my team so that everyone else's bird counts . Beard , no beard , they all count in my book .

 Not everyone will kill, if history repeats, itself. Six, would allow each team the luxury, of that possibility w/out the penalty.

I just dont want to see someone kill a bird that they normally wouldnt shoot just because of the contest. I;m sure that I'm missing something here however. This is my first year in the contest, so thats my 1 cents worth.

I am assuming a team member can only score one bird. However, after reading the responses there is apparently some confusion regarding how many birds a person can score.

I believe the competition will be much better if we only score one bird per member.

This confusion may be affecting the 6 or 7 scores per team poll as well....

As per the Rules posted in turkey contest2013,one bird per person.....if you dont kill a bird you get a zero,that is why we are asking if you want to drop your lowest score or zero and go with 6 bird total or stay with 7 bird total?
