Winter Wonderland
« on: February 10, 2013, 10:25:25 AM »
To all my southern friends, callmakers and hunters, the pics attached show you what 17" new inches of winter wonderland can look like.  Plenty of you, well maybe all of you probably hate this stuff, but don't knock till ya try it, it can be a lot of fun.  In these pics, turkeys will die in 3 months, till then I walk it, scout it and enjoy what Mother Nature has offered.  On another hand, there better not be any of this stuff in Nashville in 5 days!

Scott, beautiful pics there, glad you are able to enjoy it, I expected any second that you'd be  popping out of the brush with one or two of your sound bytes of your latest creations?? Its been awhile since you did one. Bet it would sound crisp and clear with the snow around . have fun at Nashville, Lonnie

Man that just depresses me... it's spring like weather here and you are enjoying the white fluffy snow...  Thanks for sharing the pictures though!!!

I always jump in my beat up chevy truck and run the back roads when it snows.  The more snow the better!!!!

Before today we had about a foot of snow on the ground and a much more average winter than last year. Now today it's almost 40 out and has rained all day turning everything to a sloppy mess and ice. On the bright side, it should make sheds much more easy to spot. I won't be able to be in Nashville but I'll be looking for forest bone  *up*

Winter wonderland, yeah right.  Wonder what the heck the turkeys are thinking about this white fluffy stuff?

Scott, not to steal your thunder but I see your 17 inches and double it! I am west of Boston. I had 31+ inches at the house and 34.5 inches at work.  We had some incredible drifting too.  To give you some idea the red block walls in the last photo are 7 feet tall.  Some drifts were in excess of 8 feet!

Now you know how my weekend was.
