There was a special about turkeys last night on PBS. I think it's from last year. It was very interesting! You will never look at turkeys the same, after you see this program!    Happy Thanksgiving, Gary   *ride* *ride*

Dang, I missed it again. "My life as a Turkey" based off the book Illumination of the flatwoods. I try to watch it every time it comes on.

Excellent program.  Missed first 15 minutes, but watched the rest.  Good story about the life of the wild turkey, and definitely worth watching to hear the many different vocalizations.  The book is on my list of must reads.

The guy who raised them is Joe Hutto.  The video is awesome, but as Savduck said the book is called "Illumination in the Flatwoods: A Season with the Wild Turkey" by Joe Hutto and it is twice as good as the video.  Highly recommended if you want to learn about turkey behavior.
