Lynch history lesson
« on: October 14, 2012, 08:45:59 AM »
I got an ole Lynch world champion made in Alabama, it's marked 1958.  Just curious if that was when it was made or what?  Thanks in advance.

I think that all Lynch World Champions are marked 1958. If it was made in Birmingham Ala.. then it is an early one and worth more than a Liberty, Miss. call.

I thought all Lynch Fool Proofs were marked 1965 but there is one on ebay now marked 1960. I think all the World Champions were marked 1958 but designated on the box where they were made.

It's confusing to me, but my buddy had this in his attic and probably hadn't used it in years.  It's stamped on both the inside walls.  Pretty cool old box, I plan to try and kill a bird with it this year for my buddy.

If it just has the date 1958 and no model 102 #, then it is one of the older ones. But, you have quite a few variations of the world champ.   Also, the very earliest ones had no date either. Post a pic. if you can.    *up* *up*
